English gown

My warm Renaissance dress: An English gown made of red velvet, lined with a black fabric with little white L-shaped things in it - both I had at home already for a long time.
The sleeves are blue velvet (dyed by myself, but they were part of an old curtain with an ugly blue/petrol colour) and belong to the dress underneath, of which you can see the brown skirt.
I really felt like one of the London women when I wore it on the Christmas Mediaeval Faire: [link] *g*
